Yateley based amateur drama group, Theatre 64, deliver belated seasonal festivities with their latest production, A Christmas Carol. Adapted from Charles Dickens' story by group members Matthew Wilkie and Claire Sergeant, the production promises to entertain both children and adults alike, with a combination of exciting theatre and music throughout.

A Christmas Carol follows the misfortunes of infamous miser Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve as he is visited by four strange ghosts who attempt to teach him the true spirit of Christmas. Sometimes haunting, but often uplifting, this timeless story takes both Scrooge and the audience on a journey that they will never forget.

Claire Sergeant, who has also directed the production with Matthew, believes the production will not disappoint those that already know the story, saying, "We've tried to stay as faithful to Dickens' novel as possible, adding our own touches where possible to ensure the story makes a smooth transition to the stage and is suitable for all ages". Indeed, the group hope that the audience enjoy the production, as much as they have had rehearsing it!

You can see 'A Christmas Carol' at the Main Hall, Yateley Centre, School Lane, Yateley on Friday 18 January at 8.00 pm, Saturday 19 January at 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm, on Friday 25 January at 8.00 pm, and Saturday 26 January at 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm.
