Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters is inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth - turned on its ear. In Discworld, a unique universe supported by four giant elephants and carried through space by a giant space turtle, murder, mayhem, and the arrival of a royal baby cause trouble in the little kingdom of Lancre.
And who stands between the kingdom and destruction? Three witches! (heh heh heh!!)
