Yateley based amateur drama group, Theatre 64, return to the local stage with a play with a difference - 'Our Man', by Daniel Clucas, which follows a young soldier as he prepares for war. What makes the tale so unusual is that it is all seen from the perspective of inside his head, with members of the cast playing characters such as Eyes, Mouth and Nose! Ordinary activities such as eating breakfast or tying up shoe laces, are seen from a very different angle, often with hilarious results.

'Our Man' is being presented as part of a cheese and wine evening, with the opportunity for the audience to meet and chat with the cast after the performance. Directed by long-serving Theatre 64 member, Nick Felgate, the production is also being entered into the Maidenhead One Act Play Festival later in April.

With its youthful but experienced cast, having notched up nearly a hundred productions for Theatre 64 between them, 'Our Man' makes the most of the recent influx of young members to the group. However, Theatre 64 is always looking out for new members of all ages to get involved in a whole range of activities, including acting and working backstage. Anybody who would like to find out more should contact the box office on 01344 774266 for further details.

You can see 'Our Man' at the Drama Studio, Yateley Centre, School Lane, Yateley on 6th and 7th April 2001 at 8.00pm. Tickets include food and drink, and cost £5.00 (£3.50 concessions), with a 20% discount if bought in advance. These are available by telephone 01344 774266 or in person from Travallen Travel, Yateley.
